- Schedule an appointment with us for a site visit. Please use email at chuck@chforbes.com. A weekday daytime visit, is best.
- We will evaluate your building using satellite or aerial photos to get a preliminary idea of the suitability of your site.
- Agree to our proposal and sign the agreement. Approve and sign the applications to the Rebate PROGRAM. We can also help with the loan application paperwork for PSE&G and the other utilities who have loan programs. We do all the paperwork. An approved contract is required in order to go any further.
- An initial investment of $100.00 by check made payable to Highlands Solar Electric Company, LLC. This processing fee is completely refundable if you change your mind within three business days will be credited to the purchase price.
- Provide a photocopy of the site plan for your building or survey for your home. It should have your name printed on it. If you do not have one, a sketch will do. We will take care of the details that have to be shown.
- We then await approval from the Renewable Energy Rebate Program before submitting the Building Permit Application. (these applications can be made at the same time)
- If you are going to have an Energy Star Audit, you may order it at this point. We do not do audits.
- Make your site available inside and outside with working electric power for the installation team on the dates and times agreed for the completion of your system.
