New Jersey Rebates are Back! You can earn as much as $1.75 per watt when you Install SOLAR PANELS on your ROOF or ground-mounted on your property and Earn FEDERAL Investment Tax CREDITS of 30% of the cost for and earn Solar Renewable Energy Certificates known as SRECs.
IN ADDITION
PSE&G will provide direct loans to APPLICANTS SERVED BY PSE&G. There are many forms to complete and you must pass a credit check.
We now offer complete flexibility in system size and design with a new type of inverter that is mounted with each solar panel. The inverter changes the power from Direct Current to AC Housecurrent right on the roof. THE ENPHASE ENERGY inverters provide constant monitoring of the solar array and each individual solar panel on the internet, 24/7 and they are as much as 5% more efficient than the older generation of inverters.
We will install a solar powered electricity generating system using 10 Sunwize 180 watt Solar Panels, full mounting racks and AC disconnect switches on an inclined roof facing from EastSouthEast to WestSouthWest for as little as$12,690 complete. Beginning January 26, 2010, this is a special price, while supplies of these panels last.
This system will be eligible for a NJ Rebate of $2,790 without an audit + $360 if you conduct an energy audit. There is also a 30% Federal Income Tax credit of $2,862. The net cost to you after rebate and tax credits is $6,678. This system is rated at 1800 watts. The power generated and the Solar Renewable Energy Certificates earned should equal $150-$155 per month on average. If your electric bill is higher, we can build any size system necessary to wipe out your electric bill even as large as a 10,000 watt system provided you have the mounting space. There are requirements for a Tier 3 Energy Audit if you build a system larger than 10K. We will talk about that if you are interested. It is detailed but a good thing to do. The 10 panel system requires only 146 square feet of space.
See ANSWERS page and ECONOMICS page for more details.
Commercial installations can earn $1 per watt Rebates up to 50,000 watts.
We installed a 3006 watt system on a home in Ringwood, NJ on 16 August 2005 with a Xantrex GT 3.0 Inverter. One year later, on 16 August 2006, the meter read 3159 kWh. 19 July 2007 the meter was at 6145 kWh. 17 July 2008 the meter is 9424. We added 4 panels to increase production and maximize the utility of the inverter. On Jan 23, 2009, the meter registered 11,125. The cost per kWh using our local Electric Company is now $.1825 per kWh . At this rate, this rooftop system has produced $2029 worth of electricity and about $2455 in Renewable Solar Energy Credits. $4484! That is about $106 per month. As of Jan 28, 2010, the production is 14,912 kWh. That is 3.8 kW. This is the kind of return you can expect from the old technology.
ENPHASE ENERGY M-190-72-240 Inverters are our standard
- The Ringwood array of solar panels is 22 x 13 with a 2 foot walkway between rows into which snow can slide. The system could have been made to fit in a 22 x 9 foot space without the rows. It is possible to install a bigger system that will produce more power depending on the size of your roof. We can install panels on a roof that faces East or West, but the most efficient systems face South. The panels make the electric meter run backwards when the demand in the house is less than the production. When that happens, the owner is selling power to the electric company at the same rate that the Company charges.
